Teachers’ Venture Growth makes follow-on investment in Darwinbox
Teachers’ Venture Growth (TVG), the late-stage venture and growth investment platform of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, has made a follow-on investment in human capital management (HCM) platform Darwinbox. This marks TVG’s second investment in Darwinbox after its initial investment in the company in 2025. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Founded in 2015 by Jayant Paleti, Chaitanya Peddi, Rohit Chennamaneni and Vineet Singh, Darwinbox offers a mobile-first, cloud-based HCM platform that enables organisations to manage the employee lifecycle, from hiring and onboarding to talent management and retention. The company has continued to invest in its HCM product suite, with a focus on workflow automation, streamlined HR operations and personalised employee experiences. In August, Darwinbox launched Darwinbox Cortex, an AI-native HCM platform. The product was launched with pilot customers including Fortune 1000 companies Visteon and Transcarent. Cortex brings AI-driven intelligence, context and execution into Darwinbox’s platform and is being developed with technology partners including Microsoft, Slack and Glean. The platform extends AI capabilities to applications and workflows used by employees. Darwinbox said it serves more than 1,400 companies and 4.5 million employees globally. The company has grown at a 70% CAGR over the past five years, with expansion across key markets including the US, Middle East, India and Southeast Asia.
