AI content startup Flam has raised $40 million in a Series B round led by QED Investors, with Shah Rukh Khan, Claypond Capital, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, and Venky Harinarayan joining alongside existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail. Founded in 2021, Flam said it will use the funding to invest in R&D, product expansion, and enterprise sales. Amazon said its minutes-based delivery service Now has crossed $1 billion in annualised gross sales in India, expanding to more than 60 cities in under 10 weeks as it moves beyond metros. The company is targeting 100 cities by Diwali. 1312 Interactive has raised $1 million in seed funding led by Chimera Venture Capital and TAC, with participation from Ventana, Rahul Reddy G, Rohan MC, and Nara Srinivas. The company said the capital will be used to expand its indie game publishing across emerging markets and sharpen its focus on premium PC and console titles. It also plans to support partner developers with production, marketing, distribution and platform relationships. Founded by Deepak Gurijala and Raviteja Mantena, 1312 Interactive publishes indie and AA games. The company is introducing 1312 Playground, a community-led player feedback initiative. Avendus Wealth Management has appointed Umang Papneja as Executive Vice Chairman and CEO. Avendus said it will lead the wealth business through its next phase of growth and deepen its proposition for founders, corporates and family offices. Papneja has over two decades of experience across private banking and wealth management. He was most recently CEO of Julius Baer India, where he led expansion of its onshore franchise, and earlier served more than a decade as Chief Investment Officer at IIFL Wealth, steering investment strategy across asset classes.
